Club Etiquette
The Club
is friendly and relaxed and riders will always be willing
to offer assistance. However, nobody wants to deal with
somebody else’s head injury so wear a helmet (it keeps
the parts together, if nothing else). |
| Also,
be self sufficient in tools, spares and a mobile phone. This
gives the option for riders to split up and re-group based
on ability, although if you aren’t 100% confident in
the route, the group will always stay together.
We try and cater for all
abilities and no pressure is put on riders to try sections
they aren’t comfortable with. At the same time, nobody
will stop anybody attempting some crazy stunt – we
assume you know your own ability.
Start times will be agreed
by e-mail and these refer to the departure times - bums
on seats, feet on pedals. If you arrive 5 minutes late,
don’t be surprised if everybody else has already gone.
Also, bike maintenance isn’t a spectator sport so
don’t arrive and start giving your bike a 10,000 mile
service before you can ride it - cycling time is valuable
time!
